One Page Business Plan
The Association aims to build on its distinct identity as an independent organisation focusing on the housing related needs of the community within Dartington, Totnes and the surrounding villages. The Association recognises that it can contribute and add value to communities by investing in a range of services as well as homes.
 
In the Business Plan, the Association reviews its aims and objectives in order to meet external changes and address internal needs. The plan sets out the following strategic objectives for the Association, while detailed targets are set out in the Team Plan. 
 
·         To develop and manage sustainable affordable housing for Dartington, Totnes, and the surrounding villages;
·         To have well maintained properties that meet or exceed the Decent Homes Standard and which are cost effective to manage;
·         To provide housing management and repairs services that are cost effective, customer focussed and achieve a high level of tenant satisfaction while contributing to the local economy.
·         To be a financially sustainable organisation;
·         To provide, in partnership with other providers, high quality housing, care and support services that meet the requirements of residents and comply with regulatory requirements.
·         To develop effective risk management strategies.
·         To recruit and retain well-trained and motivated staff.
·         To have an IT strategy to meet current and future IT needs of the Association;
·         To ensure affective governance and clear accountability for the Association and maintain probity in its direction;
·        To ensure an effective communications plan is developed;and
·         To develop and implement a tenant involvement strategy
